The north’s premier horror and cult movie festival, GRIMMFEST has announced details of this year’s event.

The seventh festival will this year take place at Manchester’s Odeon cinema in the Printworks between October 1st and 4th. This new partnership between the event and the cinema will mean all screenings will take place in one location, and in fully-equipped cinemas. It also will bring the festival to the attention of a larger audience, building on the success of previous years. Last year’s screenings at Odeon Printworks were sell-outs, so it’s important people take advantage of the festival pass when it goes on sale on July 17th.

Festival Director Simeon Halligan is thrilled with the location: “Printworks will make a fantastic home for the festival; we are super excited to be working with the Printworks team who are as determined as we are to put on an amazing show

As well as the usual array of horror premieres from all over the globe, this year will bring some more ‘genre gems’ to the schedule. Halligan continues, “We will always spotlight new horror genre material but we wish to embrace the full spectrum of fantastic films with a view to becoming the festival for fantastic film in the UK.  Manchester is the UK’s second city and deserves a top class international film festival. Today’s announcement of our new Odeon Printworks home, takes us a couple of steps closer to that goal

Be sure to keep an eye out here and on the GRIMMFEST website for film announcements and to buy festival passes when they are available from Friday, July 17th.
