The guest list has been announced for this year’s GRIMMFEST, which takes place at Manchester’s Odeon Printworks on October 1st through to October 4th.

On the opening night, Thursday, October 1st, there will be special appearances from Dominic Brunt and Shaune Harrison, star and director of the new short The Box. Both are no strangers to the festival, having attended several times with previous films, and Harrison giving a fabulous SFX make-up display two years ago.

Supporting the north-west premiere of The Hallow will be director Corin Hardy and star Joseph Mawle (Game of Thrones, Ripper Street).

Denis Lyons will be on hand to discuss his contribution to the controversial German Angst as the opening film on Friday. Later on, director Brendan McCarthy (Wakewood) and stars Naomi Battrick (Stonemouth) and Sam Hazeldine (Peaky Blinders) will be talking about Cherry Tree.

SFX master-cum-director Paul Hyett will present Howl alongside star Holly Weston on the Saturday, while Sunday author Paul Kane will introduce the newly remastered release of Hellraiser and opening up about his latest novel, Sherlock Holmes and the Servants of Hell in which the detective faces off against the Cenebites.

Andrew Goth will close out the festival with the world premiere of his sci-fi epic DMX.

Day and individual film tickets are now available, and a limited number of full passes remain, although these go off sale on Monday, September 21st. For more details and to book, head over to the Grimm Up North website. You can get a preview of the festival programme here
