A show that firmly divides us here at Moonbase Alpha is FOX’s GOTHAM. So with that said, it brings us great happiness/disappointment to hear that the show has been renewed for a second season.

In terms of numbers, the US screening of the first season has averaged a 4.2 rating in adults aged 18 to 49, equating to around 10.6 million viewers. The show is also the highest rated broadcast drama of the current TV season in both the 18 to 49 and 18 to 34 demographics. For those unfamiliar with the story, the basic premise centres on Ben McKenzie’s Jim Gordon as he tries to make his way in the corrupt world of Gotham City, whilst there are plenty of nods and teases to the greater world of a certain Dark Knight, who at this stage is merely a child who has recently lost his parents.

In the UK, GOTHAM airs on Channel 5.
