It was reported earlier in the week that the official new title for the upcoming Goosebumps sequel is Goosebumps: Haunted Halloween, and that’s now been confirmed as Sony Pictures have released the follow-ups title card – which you can click on for a closer look.
Goosebumps: Haunted Halloween

Previously, the sequel was initially titled simply Goosebumps 2, then that became Slappy’s Revenge, which in turn became Slappy Halloween, and somewhere down the line it was even known as Horrorland.

At this stage, it’s still not confirmed whether Jack Black will actually be returning for Goosebumps 2, although the last we’d heard it looked likely that he would indeed be back to play R.L. Stine – although new rumours suggest that he could actually be voicing Slappy this time out. The Duff’s Ari Sandel takes over the director’s chair from Rob Letterman this time out.

Plot-wise, the sequel is rumoured to focus on a group of three friends who are tasked with stopping the nefarious dummy, Slappy, from launching the Halloween apocalypse.

At present, Goosebumps: Haunted Halloween is booked in for an October 12th release.
