After being announced back in April, Sony Pictures has finally moved to set a release date for Goosebumps 2.

The follow-up to Rob Letterman’s 2015 movie has been given a release date of January 26th, 2018. Letterman is back to helm Goosebumps 2 and he’ll also be joined by returning screenwriter Darren Lemke, and Deborah Forte and Neal H. Mortez will be back to serve as producers.

At this stage, Jack Black isn’t actually signed on to return for the sequel, but it’s hoped that he’ll indeed sign on the dotted line to play R.L. Stine once more as he battles all sorts of monsters and ghouls.

Given how there’s a massive 62 books in Stine’s original Goosebumps series, there’s pretty much endless options for the direction of the sequel.
