As per any movie that’s well-received these days (and even some that aren’t), Rob Letterman’s Goosebumps is to get a sequel.

The Hollywood Reporter broke the news, with Letterman returning to direct. Additionally, Darren Lemke will be back to work on the movie’s screenplay, whilst Deborah Forte and Neal H. Moritz are back to produce.

Goosebumps didn’t exactly explode at the box office but it clearly did well enough to get a sequel greenlit by Sony Pictures. From a budget of $58 million, the first film took home $156 million at the global box office, with the film then doing decent numbers upon its home release.

It’s expected that Jack Black, who played R.L. Stine in Letterman’s Goosebumps, will be returning to the fold for Goosebumps 2.
