The annual festival of horror and cult film, GRIMMFEST, taking place in October at The Dancehouse in Manchester, have announced that on the Friday night of this year’s event, Claudio Simonetti’s Goblin will be performing a live score to Dario Argento’s SUSPIRIA. Not only is this a brilliant venue to see the film (it’s a glorious art deco dance school), any one who caught the band play live on their tour earlier this year will attest that this is not one to miss! Argento’s cut of the classic George A. Romero film, DAWN OF THE DEAD (also scored by Goblin) will follow the live event.

The first film confirmed for the festival is the UK premiere of HE NEVER DIED, a cannibal tale directed by Jason Krawczyk and starring legendary punk icon/DJ/writer/actor/speaker Henry Rollins, Booboo Stewart (X-MEN DAYS OF FUTURE PAST and Steven Ogg (GTA 5).

This year will also see several ‘GRIMMFEST Preview Screenings’ in the run up to the event, throughout September. These include WHITE SETTLERS, directed by GRIMM’s own Simeon Halligan (September 15th-18th) and the world premiere on September 10th of DEVIL’S TOWER starring Jason Mewes (from Jay & Silent Bob fame) and Roxanne Pallett (Emmerdale). These screenings will also feature a selection of the best new short films from around the globe.

Festival passes and tickets for the GOBLIN event and previews are on sale from August 8th at 9am
