Mexico City’s Morbido Fest, an annual cultural celebration this year themed around Day of the Dead,  was opened by Paloma, a music video directed by the irrepressible Muñeca del Terror Gigi Saul Guerrero (El Gigante, Madre de Dios).

Starring Guerrero’s sister Shaden and described as ‘an elegant and very Mexican piece’ by festival director Pablo Guisa, the video is devoid of the blood and boobs of Guerrero’s usual fare, but is no less mesmerising in its dark beauty. And never mind if you can’t speak Spanish; the haunting vocals, chilling visuals and unsettling atmosphere will dare you to even blink lest you miss a single moment.
