In some sad news, actor Geoffrey Lewis passed away yesterday from natural causes. He was 79 years of age.

Lewis initially made a name for himself in Westerns, and would star alongside Clint Eastwood in the likes of HIGH PLAINS DRIFTER, EVERY WHICH WAY BUT LOOSE and PINK CADILLAC. To genre fans, he was best known for roles in the likes of the SALEM’S LOT TV movie and also Rob Zombie’s THE DEVIL’S REJECTS, and would be known to wider audiences for appearances in the likes of MAVERICK, HAWAII FIVE-O, LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE, FALCON CREST, MURDER, SHE WROTE and his Golden Globe-nominated turn in FLO. He was also, of course, the father of Juliette Lewis.

The thoughts of all those at STABURST go out to the friends and family of Geoffrey Lewis at this time.
