Say what you want about WORLD OF WARCRAFT, at least they have consistent expansions. Fans have been able to rely on the regular bi-yearly expansions since the first in 2006 with THE BURNING CRUSADE. While MISTS OF PANDARIA was hugely divisive, the follow-up may provide a darker antidote to the cuteness of its predecessor.

WARLARDS OF DRAENOR is set for a definite 2014 release, tantalising fans with a glut of pre-order bonuses. The announcement has impressively heaved the fickle subscriber number up to 7.8 million. Blizzard may even pull their finger out and release the expansion sooner that December to keep the wolves . . . err fans from the door.

Blizzard have stated that closed beta testing will start ‘soon’, so it won’t be long after before the web is alive with leaked screenshots and info.
