Another week and another delay, this time it’s the highly-anticipated South Park: The Stick of Truth which has been pushed back into March 2014.

This follows the delay of Watchdogs, another Ubisoft developed title that was set to be released this November. It could be seen as a smart move to remove themselves away from the inevitable PS4/Xbox One firestorm, but it seems Matt Stone and Trey Parker just want more time to make the game even better:

“We always wanted the game to feel like you’re actually in an episode of South Park. Getting the game up to the crappy standards of the show has been a real challenge and we’re excited to say it’s taken way longer than we thought it would.”

So could this be the South Park game that finally does the “crappy” TV show justice? See for yourselves in the newly released 7-minute gameplay trailer below that arrived bundled with the terrible news. It should help soften the blow a little.

South Park: The Stick of Truth is now set for release on March 6th 2014 on PC, PS3 & Xbox 360.
