The new title update for DRAGON’S DOGMA is causing some players to have their DRAGON’S DOGMA/DRAGON’S DOGMA: DARK ARISEN save data corrupted, Capcom says. The corrupted data prevents players from saving or loading their game progress.

Capcom is advising players to back up their data on an external storage device or the cloud whenever possible, especially if you haven’t played the game in awhile or are playing DARK ARISEN for the first time, to prevent the possibility of permanent data loss.

The company says players should play the game in offline mode if they repeatedly encounter saved data corruption, and that they’re exploring the issue and “hope to have a solution as quickly as possible.”
