Movie critic Roger Ebert once famously said that video games could never be considered art. As someone who readily admits to not being much of a player, even I have noticed the lines between cinema and gaming starting to blur over the last few years. And after watching agog as this trailer for ASSASSIN’S CREED: REVELATIONS unfolded before me, I wonder how Ebert could possibly stand by that statement if he saw it too. It’s simply stunning…

Told you it was good!

As previously reported here, makers Ubisoft are getting into the movie biz by personally developing a movie version of the franchise themselves, ensuring minimum studio interference (a problem that has befell just about every videogame adaptation ever made). If they achieve anywhere near the quality of that short promo, we can expect spectacular results.

ASSASSIN’S CREED: REVELATIONS is released on your favourite console of choice (well, as long as you’re rocking an Xbox or PS3 that is) November 15th.
