Witcher 3

The latest victim of the internet’s insatiable desire to uncover all spoilers, CD Projekt Red awoke to find details of their unreleased game splashed across the internet. An unnamed employee working on the last instalment of THE WITCHER trilogy had their Google Drive hacked into and the resulting files uploaded onto 4Chan and Reddit.

The information details a huge amount of what is to come, from a detailed map of the game’s 64km environment (just under twice that of SKYRIM), developer notes, concept are, and major plot details. The bestiary of monsters and creatures even contains a few cut from the game’s final product, not to mention detailed scripts for cut scenes and descriptions of the multiple-ending scenarios.

Suffice to say, the Polish video game developer is urging fans to ignore this leak. In response to this leak of information Michal Platkow-Gilewski, head of marketing at the company, reassured fans that this unfortunate turn of events will not “affect the development cycle in any way, he strongly advised against accessing any of the information as it, “may heavily impact and spoil your future gaming experience.

A few basic technical details were gleaned from the document; with notes that “Kinct will not be supported yet” and that, “SmartGlass will not be supported yet”. This suggests that at least some point CD Projekt Red were considering integrating these devices into the game somehow.

Players can expect to see these details implemented within The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for themselves in February 2015.
