With Channing Tatum now officially on board to headline 20th Century Fox’s Gambit, details are emerging on who will be the female lead of the film.

Deadline is reporting that the lead female character of the movie will be Bella Donna Boudreaux. Up for the role are SPECTRE’s Lea Seydoux, Mad Max: Fury Road’s Abbey Lee and Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation’s Rebecca Ferguson.

As for the character herself, Bella first appeared back in 1992’s X-Men Vol.2 #8. A love interest of sorts for Remy LaBeau, things of course went pear-shaped between the pair. The duo came together as part of an arranged marriage involving the New Orleans Assassins’ Guild. Gambit ended up taking off, leaving Bella behind to develop her own plasma-based powers.

To be directed by Rise of the Planet of the Apes’ Rupert Wyatt, Gambit is currently set for an October 7th, 2016 release.
