While UK audiences have still yet to see the series, What We Do in the Shadows has now been renewed for a second season.

This news was revealed by FX, who confirmed that a second season of the vamp-tastic comedy offering will premiere in 2020.

On this news, FX’s Nick Grad enthused, “Jemaine Clement, Taika Waititi and Paul Simms have more than delivered on the high expectations of Shadows fans by adapting the cult classic for television and building a passionate base of new and returning fans. We also want to thank the rest of the creative team, including Scott Rudin, Garrett Basch and Eli Bush, and the incredible cast and crew for delivering such a fun and original series, and we look forward to working with them all on Season 2.”

Set in Staten Island, What We Do in the Shadows stars Matt Berry, Kayvan Novak, Natasia Demetriou, Harvey Guillen and Mark Proksch.

While, as mentioned, UK audiences have yet to see a single episode of the show, that is soon about to change. You see, What We Do in the Shadows is due to start airing on BBC Two from May 19th.
