Given how time travel is now starting to play a part in THE FLASH, many have wondered if the show could possibly introduce other versions of the Scarlet Speedster. Well it appears that that could very well be the case.

During yesterday’s PaleyFest, executive producer Greg Berlanti was asked about the possibility of Wally West or Bart Allen appearing in the show. As reported by TVLine, Berlanti responded, “That’s our hope. We’ve already been picked up for a second year. If we were going to do something like that, we’d do it next year.”

In terms of Wally and Bart, Wally West is the nephew of Barry Allen and Iris West via marriage and gets his powers in a similar way to Barry. Bart is the 30th century great-grandson of Barry and has gone by the names of Kid Flash and Impulse before taking on the moniker of The Flash.

From what we’ve seen, it looks as if time travel will be playing a huge part in how the rest of THE FLASH’s first season plays out, and now it appears that it will also be an element that will be present in Season 2.
