There’s been a change of programme for this year’s Glasgow FrightFest as the planned screening of Patient Zero has been replaced with the eagerly-awaited extreme French film Raw.

The film has already won numerous awards at worldwide festivals, and Horror Channel FrightFest Glasgow gives UK audiences its first taste of its gory charms.

Directed by Julia Ducournau, the film follows timid vegetarian who is training to become a vet. However, she’s forced to eat raw liver during a cruel initiation ceremony, and soon finds she develops a rather unhealthy taste for meat.

Raw screens at 18:55 on Saturday, February 25th as part of Horror Channel FrightFest Glasgow, which takes place during the Glasgow Film Festival.
