After impressing many with his turn in The Purge: Anarchy, Frank Grillo is in talks to return for the upcoming Purge 3.

Variety is reporting the news, claiming that the actor is now in final negotiations to join the film.

Very little is known about the plot of the third film, although James DeMonaco, writer and director of the previous two Purge entries, is returning to write and direct once more. Jason Blum is producing through the Platinum Dunes banner.

After The Purge: Anarchy took $110 million from a mere $9 million budget, a third film was always a likelihood, and now it appears as if the star of the second film will be back once more.

The Purge 3 is currently set for a July 1st, 2016 release.
