Sylvester Stallone’s action-packed EXPENDABLES franchise is heading to the small screen.

Deadline is reporting that FOX is developing an ‘event series’ based on the franchise, which is currently being described as “fun action drama.” The plan for the show is to bring in iconic TV stars “as a new team of highly-skilled heroes who are on a mission to stop a dangerous terrorist.” Err, Magnum P.I. sounds up to the job, if you ask us.

Stallone will be serving as a producer on the series, as will the movie franchise’s producer Avi Lerner. Greg Coolidge and Kirk Ward have been brought in to write and executive produce the show, whilst Shane Brennan will serve as showrunner and executive producer.

After three action hero-filled movies, there’s still the possibility of a fourth EXPENDABLES film, and the all-female EXPENDABELLES is still being developed.
