As well as being added to the remake of The Crow, Variety is reporting that Oscar-winner Forest Whitaker has joined the first of the Star Wars Anthology movie.

Whitaker is the latest name to join Gareth Edwards’ Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One, which already has a cast that includes Felicity Jones, Sam Claflin, Riz Ahmed and Ben Mendelsohn. This first Anthology film will focus on a ragtag group of resistance fighters who are attempting to steal the Death Star plans. As for what role Whitaker will be playing in Rogue One, that’s still unknown at this stage.

At present, Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One is set for a December 16th, 2016 release. Before that, of course, is a little film by the name of Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens, which is released on December 18th.
