While American Horror Story is about to celebrate its tenth year with another season and a new spin-off, the far superior genre anthology show Channel Zero was sadly cancelled after just four series. Even worse, the show never found a solid home over here in the UK (though it can now be found in its entirety on Starz via Amazon Prime Video – we highly recommend you check it out).

Though their first creation remains somewhat of a hidden gem, writer/producers Nick Antosca and Lenore Zion will no doubt find their next project gets a more deserving audience after teaming up with Netflix. The duo has adapted Todd Grimson’s 2011 cult horror novel Brand New Cherry Flavor into an 8-part limited series starring Rosa Salazar (Alita: Battle Angel) and Catherine Keener (Being John Malkovich) that will premiere on August 13th, and with the first trailer unveiled today, it’s now very high on our watchlist!
