With Teddy Sears cast as Jay Garrick in the upcoming second season of The Flash, The CW has revealed an impressive new poster to give us our first look at the show’s other Flash.

Comic book fans will know Garrick as the Golden Age Flash, and eagle-eyed viewers of the Grant Gustin-starring Flash will have seen a glimpse of Jay’s famed helmet (easy now…) during the show’s Season 1 finale.

In a nice nod to The Flash #123, the artwork giving us our first look at Sears’ Jay Garrick can be found below:

For those wondering what role Jay Garrick will play in The Flash, it’s already been revealed that he’ll be a mysterious stranger who arrives in Central City to warn Barry Allen and his S.T.A.R. Labs chums of an impending threat that they cannot take down on their own. With Zoom teased as Season 2’s ‘big bad’, it seems as if he’ll be the aforementioned threat that Garrick is on about.

The Flash returns to US screens on October 6th, with a UK return expected shortly after.
