Right, there’s a lot to take in here. At New York Comic-Con, Marvel and Netflix have released a whole boatload of DAREDEVIL stuff. First up, as shown in the header of this news piece, is the official title card for the show, which is a brilliantly-effective and fan-pleasing nod to the comic book roots of the Guardian Devil. If that wasn’t enough, there was a bunch of casting news, the reveal of just who Rosario Dawson will be playing in the show, and then a first look at the show’s lead character.

In terms of new additions, Bob Gunton will be playing Leland Owlseley, aka long-time villain The Owl; Vondie Curtis Hall will play Daredevil-supporting reporter Ben Ulrich; Toby Leonard Moore will play The Kingpin’s right hand man, Wesley; and Ayelet Zurer will play Vanessa, a character who, in the comic books at least, eventually becomes Vanessa Fisk. As for Rosario Dawson, after plenty of speculation it’s been confirmed that she will be playing Claire Temple, aka Night Nurse.

And then there’s the first look at Charlie Cox as both Matt Murdock and Daredevil, plus some pretty cool concept art for the show. The Comic-Con panel was keen to stress that this initial look for DD is just a first costume, suggesting that he’ll graduate to his more traditional red duds down the line. In fact, it could even be that we get to see the fan-favourite yellow costume at some point, too.

The Netflix-exclusive DAREDEVIL is set to debut early next year.
