Whilst we’re well aware that the ever-great J.K. Simmons will be playing Jim Gordon in Warner Brothers’ DC Extended Universe, we’ve yet to see Simmons in his Gordon garb just yet. Well, over the weekend, that has changed.

Simmons’ Gordon will debut in Zack Snyder’s Justice League, and this past weekend saw Snyder take to his social media channels to reveal a first look at the DCEU’s Gordon. Gordon will only be a small part of Justice League before then becoming a more prominent part of the DCEU when Ben Affleck’s Caped Crusader gets his own solo movie down the line.

As for the full ‘first look’ at Simmons as Gordon, find that below:

The official blurb on Justice League reads:

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes – Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash – it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Justice League is currently set for a November 10th, 2017 release. As for Gordon and the Dark Knight, Ben Affleck is currently penning a Bats solo movie with DC’s Geoff Johns. That movie hasn’t got a release date or official title just yet, although Affleck will also be directing as well as starring and writing.
