The first official image has been released of Bruce Campbell from the upcoming STARZ series, Ash vs. Evil Dead.

Released via Entertainment Weekly, the picture brings a first look at Campbell reprising his famed role of Ashley J. Williams. Accompanying him in the image are Ray Santiago and Dana DeLorenzo, who are playing Pablo Simon Bolivar and Kelly Maxwell respectively.

Ash vs. Evil Dead is currently in production over in New Zealand, with the first season of the show to be given a run of ten episodes. Campbell will be executive producing along with Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert and Craig DiGregorio.

The official word on the new show reads:

Ash has spent the last 30 years avoiding responsibility, maturity and the terrors of the Evil Dead until a Deadite plague threatens to destroy all of mankind and Ash becomes mankind’s only hope.

As well as Campbell returning as the iconic Ash, the cast is currently made up of Santiago, Maxwell, Lucy Lawless, Jill Marie Jones and Mimi Rogers.

Ash vs. Evil Dead is set to make its US debut in the second half of the year, although a UK home has yet to be announced for the show.
