The first two official images have been released from the eagerly-awaited sci-fi/horror thriller Await Further Instructions.

They show stars Neeja Naik (Hackney’s Finest) as Annji, who is visiting her boyfriend’s family for the first time at Christmas. Sam Gittins (Howl) is Nick, the boyfriend, who soon finds out the bickering of family life is only one of the problems facing them this Yuletide as they are locked within the pressure cooker environment by an unknown black substance covering the whole house, with only the sinister messages coming from the television set providing any hint as to what’s going on, beginning with the less than reassuring ‘Stay Indoors and Await Further Instructions’.

Director Johnny Kevorkian (The Disappeared) said: “I’m so pleased to be working with the super talented Sam Gittins and Neerja Naik, who are bringing such intensity to every scene. We’re half way through the shoot and things will only get more extreme from here. I can’t wait to push their characters even further as the spectacular reality of their confinement is finally revealed!”

The film is currently shooting at GSP Studios near York, and STARBURST was lucky enough to pay a visit to the set recently, where we spoke to many of the cast and crew. We can confirm that what we saw had us very excited for the film!

Written by Gavin Williams (Sleepworking), Await Further Instructions also stars David Bradley (An Adventure in Space and Time, The Strain), Holly Weston (Howl), Grant Masters (Silent Witness), Abigail Cruttenden (The Theory of Everything) and Kris Saddler (The Hour).

Await Further Instructions is expected to be released in time for the 2016 festival season.
