With Sci-Fi Scarborough now only a matter of weeks away, the full and complete details of what to expect from this ever-great event have now been made available.

Taking place at The Spa Complex, South Bay, Scarborough on Saturday April 9th and Sunday April 10th, this third annual Sci-Fi Scarborough event sees the very first time that the gathering will feature guests from the US in amongst the actors, filmmakers, comic book artists, authors, prop makers, illustrators, crafters, gamers, traders, and various others who will all be present during the April extravaganza.

In terms of some of the names who will be attending, there’s Battlestar Galactica’s Richard Hatch, Babylon 5’s Claudia Christian, Star Trek: Voyager’s Garrett Wang, Red Dwarf’s Norman Lovett, Doctor Who’s Dan Starkey, Doctor Who’s Barnaby Edwards, Doctor Who and Harry Potter’s Simon Fisher Becker, Harry Potter’s Jon Campling, and double Oscar-winning SFX guru Brian Johnson. In addition to this, the Sunday portion of the event will also feature appearances from Game of Thrones’ Miltos Yerolemou, Luke Barnes and Josephine Gillan, who are better known as Syrio Forel, Rast, and Marei, respectively, to fans of the show.

Elsewhere, there’s comic book names such as Greg Staples, David Hine, Gary Erskine, Kev Crossley and Richard Piers Rayner, not to mention authors like C.G. Hatton and Jex Collyer.

The Grand Hall will also hold the guest panels both days, with the US guests teaming up for the Space Opera Saturday talk, the English guests with The Best of British panel discussing Doctor Who, Harry Potter and Red Dwarf, and then the three Game of Thrones guests round off with a Throne Sunday talk for good measure.

There’s also plenty to take in for gamers, with plenty of current and retro gaming stations and traders to be present in Finns Arcade, with Sore Thumb Retro Games, Sector 5, GAME, and Serenity Bay all confirmed for the event.

If all of that still isn’t enough to keep you tied up for two days, there’s live music from The Underground Music Institute, there’s a kid’s area with a superhero bouncy castle, face painters and more, there’s collectables to pick up for those with a few spare quid, there’s prop exhibitions, there’s fan films to take in at The Fan Film Theatre, there’s the famous Geek Pub Quiz on Saturday night, there’s the D20 Gaming Zone for RPG, CCG, tabletop and miniature game fans, and more activities and exhibits than you can shake a cosmic screwdriver at!
