The nights have drawn in, so what better to give you a warming feeling than settling down with Legend. Here are our picks you shouldn’t miss this week…

 

 

Tuesday November 29th, 11.05pm – No One Lives (2012)

Luke Evans is given a hard time by a band of vicious kidnappers, but they don’t know what they’ve let themselves in for in this gloriously gory thriller. Unmissable! Check out our feature on the film here.

 

 

Thursday December 1st, 9pm – Jack’s Back (1988)  

The infamous serial killer Jack the Ripper becomes a role model for a modern-day equivalent in Los Angeles. Stars James Spader.

 

 

Friday December 2nd, 9pm – The Gunman (2015)

Sean Penn stars as an assassin who becomes a target himself. Also stars Javier Bardem and Idris Elba.

 

 

Saturday December 3rd, 9pm Reasonable Doubt (2014)

A lawyer gets a man accused of hit-and-run off his charges, but then discovers he may well be guilty. Starring Samuel L. Jackson and Dominic Cooper.

 

 

Saturday December 3rd, 10.50pm Mercy Black (2019)

Supernatural chills as a woman is released from a psychiatric institute 15 years after stabbing a classmate, but has her dark side – and the entity Mercy Black – been cured?

 

 

Sunday December 4th, 9pm – 12.30am The Vintage Vault

Legend continues to celebrate the Golden Age of genre cinema with a season of double bills. This week, the movies come from 1968. Vincent Price plays Matthew Hopkins, the titular Witchfinder General in this superb tale of persecution and revenge. One of only four films directed by Michael Reeves. Then more horror masters, Boris Karloff and Christopher Lee, star in Curse of the Crimson Altar, with the witchcraft being set in the modern-day.
