Here are five great reasons to tune into Horror Channel this week….
Wednesday September 1st, 10.50pm – Sleepwalkers (1992)
Written exclusively for the big screen by Stephen King and directed by Mick Garris (Psycho IV: The Beginning), this story follows the final two shapeshifting energy vampires in existence. Brian Krause and Alice Krige play the son and mother vampires. Keep an eye open for a host of famous genre directors – as well as King and Mark Hamill – in cameos.
Thursday September 2nd, 11pm – Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation (1994)
Sure, it’s not in the same league as Tobe Hooper’s movies, but where else would you see Renée Zellweger being a victim of Leatherface and Matthew McConaughey?
Friday September 3rd, 9pm – Howl (2015)
Director Paul Hyett turns his attentions to the werewolf genre in this cracking British horror. There are plenty of familiar faces on board the derailed train stranded near a forest who are set to become a buffet car for a group of lycanthropes.
Saturday September 4th, 10am – 3pm – The 4400
A chance to catch up with the midweek episodes from Season Two of the hit show with back-to-back episodes.
Sunday September 5th, 9pm – The Exorcist III (1990)
Hollywood legend George C. Scott stars in this sequel directed by the writer of the original novel William Peter Blatty. He plays a police lieutenant investigating a series of murders that bear a striking resemblance to those committed by a dead serial killer. We’re not even going to mention that scare. Damn.
