Here are some of our picks for the next seven days on Horror Channel:
Tuesday June 29th, 10.40pm – Bram Stoker’s Dracula (1992)
Francis Ford Coppola’s epic retelling of the classic Gothic novel in which Gary Oldman portrays the Count with style and panache. Anthony Hopkins’ Van Helsing is just as perfect and Keanu Reeves (as Jonathan Harker) and Winona Ryder (Mina) are always watchable. This is one that has got better with age.
Wednesday June 30th, 2.20pm – Schizo (1976)
Legendary exploitation director Pete Walker teams up once more with writer David McGillivray for this psychological shocker. A must-see for fans of low budget British horror.
Thursday July 1st, 10.50pm – Terrifier (2017)
Clowns are scary, we all know that. Art the Clown, the antagonist in Terrifier makes IT look like Krusty. Not only does he look suitably sinister, he leaves a trail of corpses in his wake. Plenty of gore and scares make this unmissable. Find out more about the film here.
Saturday July 3rd, 10am – 3pm – Space: 1999
Spend a big chunk of your Saturday catching up with the exploits on Moonbase Alpha. This omnibus of the episodes shown during the weekday Sci-Fi Zone means you never have to miss an episode.
Sunday July 4th, 11.20pm – The Bay (2012)
A small seaside town’s water supply becomes infected, causing infections and lesions on the victims. This is a portent found footage movie, which is elevated above the rest because it was a rare excursion into horror for director Barry Levinson, best known for Good Morning, Vietnam and Rain Man.
Tune into Horror Channel on Sky 317, Virgin 149, Freeview 68, Freesat 138.
