Whilst The Weinstein Company/Dimension Films picked up the feature-length rights for Lars Klevberg’s horror short Polaroid back in late 2015, now the movie has finally been given a release date.

As reported by BloodyDisgusting, Polaroid has been set for an August 25th, 2017 release. Klevberg will be directing the feature-length take on the short that he wrote and direct. In addition to this, Blair Butler will be on writing duties for this movie.

Plot-wise, the Polaroid short focussed on a group of mysterious and shocking teen deaths that all tied to an old Polaroid camera that had plenty of secrets of its own. So impressive was the short, it managed to nab the honours at the LA Horror Short Film Festival.

Expect more on Polaroid as it develops.
