If the recent remake has left you hankering for some proper violence and mayhem, the good folk at Grimm Up North continue their mini-season of classic films with a screening of the original 1987 ROBOCOP.

For those who are not familiar with the classic film here’s the synopsis:

When a good cop (Peter Weller) gets blown away by ruthless thugs, innovative scientists and doctors piece him back together as an unstoppable crime-fighting cyborg called Robocop. But while cleaning up the streets of violence-ravaged Detroit, Robocop is tormented by memories of his former life, and now he’s out for more than justice…he wants revenge!

The film will be screened in the newly remastered HD director’s cut, so will look great on the big screen!

Get yourself down to GORILLA on Whitworth Street in Manchester on Friday 28th March. Doors are at 6.30pm, with the event starting at 7pm.

You can buy tickets (sadly not for a dollar) for £6 advance, from Seetickets
