David Cronenberg

David Cronenberg is the subject of an exhibition and film season currently running as part of the International Film Festival of Rotterdam, at the EYE Film Institute in Amsterdam.
As well as screening many of his films, there will be displays of some of the wonderful props used in his films, as well as photographs and costumes.

Cronenberg has also shot a special short film, THE NEST, in which a topless woman discusses with a doctor (voiced by the director himself) the removal of her left breast, as she is convinced it is infested with insects. While not as visually graphic (save for the nudity) as his earlier body-horror films, it certainly is just as disturbing. You can check the whole film out below.

The exhibition runs until September 14th, 2014 and you can find out more at the EYE website. (Please note: you will need to use Google Translate!)
