Hot on the heels of The CW’s upcoming Superman & Lois series finding its General Sam Lane, the show has now moved to make another casting addition.

Via Deadline, Entourage’s Emmanuelle Chriqui has signed on as Lana Lang-Cushing. That role is to be a series regular one, with Lana Lang a character long familiar to fans of DC Comics and the world of Superman.

In Superman & Lois, Lana is described as being a loan officer at Smallville Bank who opted to stay in Smallville while many of her friends sought bigger and better things elsewhere. Here, we’ll see Lana re-establish her friendship with her old pal, Clark Kent. As to where the Cushing part comes into this, it seems sensible to presume that Lana either is or has been married.

Previously, audiences have most famously seen Lana Lang brought to live-action life by Kristin Kreuk in Smallville and by Annette O’Toole Superman III.

Emmanuelle Chriqui joins a Superman & Lois cast that currently features Tyler Hoechlin’s Man of Steel, Bitsie Tulloch’s Lois Lane, Jordan Elsass as Jonathan Kent, Alexander Garfin as Jordan Kent, and Dylan Walsh as General Sam Lane.

The Flash’s Todd Helbing is serving as showrunner on Superman & Lois, with the shared Arrowverse show planned for an initial 13-episode first season. Said debut season was due to premiere towards the end of the year, although production on all The CW shows is currently on hold due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
