With X-Men: Apocalypse now in cinemas, there’s some casting news elsewhere for another X-movie as James Mangold’s sequel to The Wolverine is in talks to bring in Elizabeth Rodriguez.

The Wrap has word that the Fear the Walking Dead and Orange Is the New Black actress is in negotiations to play a small but key role in what will be the last outing for Hugh Jackman’s Logan.

Should Rodriguez sign on for the film, she’ll join a cast that includes Jackman, Patrick Stewart as Professor X, Boyd Holbrook as the ‘big bad’, Richard E. Grant as a crazed scientist, and further unknown roles for Stephen Merchant, Elise Neal and Eriq La Salle. As well as rumours of the movie to be a take on Mark Millar’s fan favourite Old Man Logan arc, there’s also heavy speculation that the film will feature X-23.

Currently just referred to as Wolverine 3, the plan is for Logan’s last stand to hit cinemas next March.
