With Godzilla: King of the Monsters currently assembling its key players, the sequel to Gareth Edwards’ 2014 movie has moved to bring in another new cast addition in the form of Elizabeth Ludlow.
As per Deadline, the actress – best known to genre fans as one of Negan’s Saviors in The Walking Dead – has joined the film in an unknown role. In King of the Monsters, she joins a cast that currently includes Millie Bobby Brown, Kyle Chandler, Vera Farmiga, Bradley Whitford, Zhang Ziyi, and the returning duo of Ken Watanabe and Sally Hawkins.
In terms of plot, the early synopsis reads:
The new story follows the heroic efforts of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch as its members face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah. When these ancient super-species – thought to be mere myths – rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance.
To be directed by Trick ‘r Treat’s Michael Dougherty, Godzilla: King of the Monsters is currently set for March 22nd, 2019. After that, of course, we’ve got the huge crossover picture Godzilla vs. Kong set for 2020.SHARE YOUR COMMENTS BELOW OR ON TWITTER @STARBURST_MAG
