Since conjuring up body horror flick CABIN FEVER back in 2002, Eli Roth has more than carved a path for himself within the horror genre. It’s always exciting to see where the golden boy’s next move is going to be.

Premiering at last year’s Fantastic Fest film festival in sunny Austin, Texas was indie horror THE STRANGER, produced by Roth and AFTERSHOCK’s Nicolás López. Word comes from Bloody Disgusting that IFC Midnight has picked up the film. Directed by Guillermo Amoedo and starring Luis Gnecco, Lorenza Izzo, Ariel Levy, and Aaron Burns, THE STRANGER is a slow-burn monster movie, by way of a character-driven drama.
