Fresh of his Bruce Willis-headlined Death Wish remake, Eli Roth has turned his attention to his next project.

As per Deadline, the Cabin Fever and Hostel helmer is lined up to direct Amblin Entertainment’s upcoming adaptation of The House With a Clock in its Walls. Not only that, but it’s being reported that Jack Black is on board to star in this adaptation of John Bellairs’ famed 1973 work.

The brief synopsis on The House With a Clock in its Walls reads:

The novel that tells the tale of a recently orphaned 10-year-old boy who discovers a world of hidden passageways, magic and danger in his Uncle’s old house.

Current plans have the production pegged to start this Autumn.
