Kinetic filmmaker Edgar Wright is developing a new project for Working Title Films after exiting Planet Marvel and being questionably replaced by Peyton Reed. Titled Baby Driver, an assortment of words such as action, music, sound and crime have been glued together in order to describe the film. This begs the question, will Wright be taking us in the direction of Hot Fuzz-style cinema?  Well an audience can certainly hope so…

At this current moment, the director’s frequent collaborators and official ‘homies’ Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are not attached to the project, as they’re rather busy cracking the Hollywood code. Although followers of Wright are probably instilled with sorrow right now, its fantastic news to hear that this British craftsman is back in business.

Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner and Nira Park are on producing duties and it seems likely that the film will be released through either Universal Pictures or Focus Features.
