Long-running British science fiction convention Eastercon will be held in Manchester in 2016.

The 67th British National Science Fiction Convention is to be called Mancunicon and will be held over the Easter weekend, March 25th to 28th of next year. Like most long-running science fiction conventions, the primary focus is on writers and other notable persons, and promises to be filled with panels, talks and discussions.

The guests of honour at the event are: John W. Campbell Award-winning novelist Aliette de Bodard, Hugo Award-winning author Ian McDonald, British Fantasy Award-winning creator Sarah Pinborough, and noted astrophysicist David L. Clements.

Eastercon is ran by fans for fans and is powered by the dedication of its volunteers. If you want to get involved or if you’re simply looking to book for the event, you can find out more at their official website at www.mancunicon.org.uk.
