Dungeons and Dragons releases Netherdeep book for Critical Role

Hot on the heels of the enormously succesfull Explorer's Guide to Wildemont, Wizards of the Coast have announced that the March 2022 D&D book will be Critical RoleCall of the Netherdeep, an adventure book for levels three to twelve.  The storyline will hook into adventures seen on the world's number one streamed D&D game, Critical Role.

“My co-leads, Matthew Mercer and James Haeck, have crafted a story that feels true to Critical Role while also being something that all D&D fans can enjoy," said Chris Perkins, one of the Game Design Architects of Dungeons & Dragons. “The story has depth, and there’s a wealth of setting information in this book for all the Critters out there. I can’t wait to see how all fans play through the first hardcover adventure D&D has produced set in the world of Critical Role.

The book will contain a full adventure, new creatures and magic items, a poster map of Ank’Harel, and introduces new mechanics for a rival party of NPCs. Players will explore the Wastes of Xhorhas, and reach the glimmering oasis-city of Ank’Harel on the continent of Marquet. From their it's terrifying journey into the Netherdeep itself, a terrifying blend of cosmic horror and ocean terror.  Something ancient and powerful awaits and it's up to the adventurers to discover what must be done.

Sounds fantastic to us; we don't know if this will be available with an alternative cover, but we aim to find out and report back.
