Leeds Zombie Fest

On Sunday 11th May the zombies are taking over Leeds once again. Or the Cottage Road Cinema at least.
It’s the seventh annual LEEDS ZOMBIE FILM FESTIVAL, 12 hours of gruesome gut-munching brought to you by popular lovers of the undead, Dominic Brunt and Mark Charnock (yes, those two off TV’s Emmerdale).

Among the films being screened this year are:

THE BATTERY (as yet unreleased in the UK, this is great, featuring a pair of ex-baseball players trying to survive the zombie uprising)

LIFEFORCE (Tobe Hooper’s re-appraised classic, with naked space vampires).
STALLED (toilet-based horror/comedy).
WORLD WAR Z (big budget Brad Pitt-starrer being shown in an extended gory version).
POULTRYGEIST: NIGHT OF THE CHICKEN DEAD (Lloyd Kaufman’s bizarre zom-com musical!)

Plus loads of short films and fun!

The day kicks off at noon 11th May, running right through to midnight. Dominic and Mark will give a short intro to each film and explain why it was chosen, and there will ample time to enjoy a drink or two.

Tickets are £15, available by reserving from the Cottage Road Cinema. Send them an email via the contact link, stating how many tickets, name, and contact telephone number and they will be confirmed within 7 days. Payment is cash on the door.

All proceeds will go to the charity WSPA (World Society for the Protection of Animals).
