Dan Starkey, who plays friendly (most of the time) Sontaran Strax in Doctor Who has been announced as the latest guest for Sci-Fi Scarborough 2016.

Although best known as Stax, Dan has also appeared in the hit BBC series as an elf in the episode Last Christmas as well as co-hosting BBC Doctor Who Prom, and making appearances in series such as Wizards vs. Aliens, The Sarah Jane Adventures and Inside No. 9.

While the Sci-Fi Scarborough event is April 9th/10th^, 2016, fans will have a chance to buy some great  Who merchandise this weekend at VTAC (Vintage Toys and Collectables) which is being held at the Scarborough Spa Complex on November 1st.

Co-organiser of the event, Steve Dickinson said: “It really is an obvious fit for us to get another great character from a seminal TV series to SFS. We have always had a strong Doctor Who presence here and every guest we have hosted has been absolutely brilliant with the fans. The upcoming VTAC event on Sunday, November 1st will give serious Whovians a perfect chance to get that collectable for him to sign“

Tickets for Sci-Fi Scarborough 2016 are on sale now from the box office at The Spa Complex or online.
