Being no stranger to time travel, it’s kind of apt that MATT SMITH would join the cast of the increasingly “timey-wimey” sounding TERMINATOR sequel/reboot. (Seriously, if you haven’t yet heard just how bonkers this film sounds, check out our last post here! It’s all very BACK TO THE FUTURE PART II sounding!)

Deadline are the ones with the scoop, and are reporting Smith’s character (still unknown) will be introduced in the first film, before going on to play a “major” part in chapters two and three.

As we all know by know, GAME OF THRONES’ Alan Taylor will direct, with Emilia Clarke, Jason Clarke, Jai Courtney, J.K. Simmons and some bloke called Arnold Schwarzenegger heading up the cast.

TERMINATOR: GENESIS opens July 1st, 2015.
