Thought you’d seen it all from the zombie subgenre? Well now comes word that Disney is looking to develop a musical zombie feature simply titled Zombies.

As per EW, the House of Mouse is already getting to work on a music and dance-driven picture to be set in the suburban town of Seabrook. Of course, said town isn’t without its problems, particularly when students from nearby Zombietown begin to integrate into the local high school. Still, despite the presence of the undead, the ever-chirpy Disney vibe has the film focussing on coexistence and getting along with those who are different in a movie that is essentially a quirky musical teen romance.

On board to star in Zombies are American Housewife’s Meg Donnelly, Ghost Whisperer’s Milo Manheim, The Next Step’s Trevor Tordjman, Jump In’s Kylee Russell, and Curb Your Enthusiasm’s Carla Jeffery.

To be directed by Jeffrey Hornaday, Zombies has yet to be given a confirmed release date.
