With Wonder Woman currently in cinemas and wowing fans and critics alike, it’s now been revealed that director Patty Jenkins is contracted to return to helm a sequel to the hands-down best thing the DCEU has put out to date.

As per The Hollywood Reporter, star Gal Gadot has revealed that both she and Jenkins are both signed up for Wonder Woman 2, and that the sequel will take place in a modern, contemporary setting rather than being any sort of period piece.

Details on said sequel are obviously scarce right now, but it’s hugely encouraging to see Warner Brothers keeping the team of Gadot and Jenkins together for the follow-up given how great a job all involved did with the first movie (which you can find our review of here).

Before any sequel, of course, Gadot’s Diana will be front-and-centre when Justice League arrives this coming November. As ever ,expect more on Wonder Woman 2 and all upcoming DCEU efforts as and when we get it.
