Some interesting news has surfaced on the next G.I. JOE movie. As reported by Film Divider, details are emerging on the villains of the film and also of a crossover with another fan favourite ‘80s cartoon.

On the villain front, this latest story says that the Crimson Twins, Tomax and Xamot, will be the big bads of the third G.I. JOE film. As for the crossover element, the same report says that M.A.S.K. will have a presence in the film.

Previous rumours suggested a possible G.I. JOE and TRANSFORMERS crossover but now it seems as if Mobile Armored Strike Kommand (or M-M-M-M-M.A.S.K.) and their transforming vehicles will be joining the action. Matt Trakker, one of the main characters from M.A.S.K., is said to be included in G.I. JOE 3, although no details are known on who, if any, other familiar characters will be joining him.

It goes without saying, but treat all of this as purely rumour for now. That said, a M.A.S.K. crossover is certainly far easier to do than bringing in the Robots in Disguise.
