For those Merc with a Mouth fans in China, we’re afraid we’ve got some bad news.

It’s been confirmed that 20th Century Fox’s Deadpool will not be released in China, joining a list that includes Crimson Peak, Noah and The Dark Knight in being denied a release in the market over the last few years. The reason for the block on Deadpool is down to the film’s “violence, nudity and graphic language.” So yeah, all the good stuff, we’d say, but apparently this is a little too much for China to be able to warrant the Ryan Reynolds-starrer a cinematic release.

For the rest of us, Deadpool is released in the UK on February 10th before receiving a worldwide release on February 12th. Of course, in the meantime, you can pick up the latest Deadpool-heavy issue of STARBURST Magazine now.
