Who would have thought that watching people play Dungeons and Dragons would be so much fun? Thousands of gaming fans will be watching some top D&D players explore the frost-covered land of Icewind Dale throughout this weekend, thanks to the Dungeons and Dragons Celebration event.

If you pop over to the Dungeons and Dragons Twitch Channel this weekend, you’ll be able to watch live games inspired by the new D&D book, Dungeons & Dragons Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden. Big name UK creators include Oxventure, High Rollers and How We Roll. Throughout the weekend panels discussing the finer points of the Dungeons and Dragons hobby will be aired live, and will include insight from the likes of Jeremy Crawford, Chris Perkins and Ray Winninger. The entire event will be hosted by Elle Osili-Wood.

The event begins at 16:00 BST with the excellent Oxventures, and will run from Friday the 18th all the way into the early hours of Monday 21st. A full schedule can be found here. The event organisers, Wizards of The Coast, have also teamed up with the charity Extra Life to create special apparel—with all Wizards of the Coast proceeds going directly to Extra Life/Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

Those looking for a little more extra D&D in their lives will be pleased to learn that previews of the next D&D book, Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything can be downloaded here as well as some IceWind Dale Themed resources.
